A former Salina golf course employee was arrested on charges of forging payroll checks.
Salina Police arrested 38-year-old James R. Hay on Sunday for allegedly creating a template that resembled Salina Country Club payroll checks.
Police say Hay forged two checks to himself and cashed them in mid-September at the Money Zone, 1819 S. Broadway and the Pump Mart, 1118 N. 9th for a total of $1,597.80.
He is now facing charges of criminal theft and forgery charges.
