A Lincoln, Kansas man is booked into the Saline County Jail on charges that include attempted 2nd degree murder in a domestic assault case in Salina.
According to Captain Mike Sweeney, 25-year-old Sawyer A. Reinert was taken into custody on Saturday in Ellsworth County and transported to the jail.
Sweeney says the investigation began after a woman in her 20's was treated at the hospital for cuts and bruises on her face and red marks on her throat.
She also suffered a fractured bone in one eye socket.
Police say Reinert entered her home in south Salina uninvited and the two argued.
