At least one winning ticket was sold for Wednesday night's nearly $1.6 billion Powerball. Shortly after the winning numbers were drawn the California Lottery Tweeted that a winning ticket had been sold in the Chino Hills area of Los Angeles.
A few hours later officials said that winning tickets were also sold in Florida and in Tennessee.
The California jackpot-winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills, about 25 miles northeast of Anaheim.
