A single vehicle crash ended with a car on its top, in the backyard of a South Salina home Friday evening. The crash happened on Belmont Boulevard near Stewart Elementary School, between Kensington and Wesley Streets .
Salina Police Office James Vogan told KSAL News at the scene that the crash happened when the driver of a white Honda Civic lost control.
Vogan says that the car was heading east on Belmont, from Magnolia towards Ohio Street. The driver was attempting to pass another car, and going at a high rate of speed around a curve, when he lost control.
