A traffic stop early Thursday morning near Salina on Interstate 135 lead to the discovery of over 14 pounds of marijuana, and the arrest of a couple from Wichita.
Saline County Sheriff Captain Roger Soldan says that a car was stopped at around 2:00 in the morning for failure to maintain a lane. During the stop the deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Soldan says that during a search, 14.6 pounds of marijuana, 4 ounces of marijuana wax, and drug paraphernalia were found. The marijuana was in the trunk of the car.
