A winter storm will continue to impact most of Kansas through at least Saturday.
Rain that fell on Thanksgiving began to freeze late in the day.
According to the National Weather Service, the winter weather is expected to impact much of the region again Friday with snow/sleet across central Kansas, sleet/freezing rain across south central and portions of southeast Kansas, and finally heavy rain remains possible across far southeast Kansas.
Expect roadways to become icy and slick in areas where accumulating sleet/snow/ice occur. Due to gusty north winds, accumulating ice may cause power outages and tree limb damage.
