A 20-year-old former University of Kansas student accused of raping a woman in a university dorm room has entered a diversion program.
Douglas County prosecutors charged the man with sexual battery after a woman said he forced her to have sex with him in April 2014 in Gertrude Sellards Pearson Residence Hall. The 19-year-old woman told police she repeatedly said "no." According to a police affidavit, the man told police he thought it was a "playful no."
