An Edmond, Oklahoma woman is in police custody for allegedly stealing a purse from Grandma Max's restaurant on 1944 North 9th St yesterday morning.
Police say that Leah Williams-Herd, 45 of Edmond, allegedly stole a worker's purse from over the counter when the worker was assisting another customer. Williams-Herd then used cash from the purse to purchase a room at Motel 6 and a Visa card to purchase a meal from McDonald's and cigarettes from the 24/7 Gas Station on North 9th Street where police apprehended her.
In the motel room, police found the purse and 15.7 grams of marijuana.
