The Abilene Cowboys improved to (3-0) on the season with a 25-7 victory over Andover Central. In the process they got revenge against a Jaguar team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year in the quarter finals by a single point.
Andover Central was short-handed as they were without their starting senior quarterback Taylor Cole, who suffered a season ending injury last week in a loss to Buhler. The Jaguars started Junior Jack Steiner, who accounted for 151 total yards unofficially, in his first start.
