A Salina man goes to the hospital after coming to the aid of someone in a bar fight.
Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 40-year-old Kelly Kitchener was treated at the hospital for a 1.5 inch gash on the back of his head after a disturbance early Sunday morning at Chucks Bar, 600 N. Santa Fe Ave.
Police say just before 2am, Kitchener saw a fight and tried to intervene and was then hit on the back of the head with a blunt object.
No arrests have been made.
