A teen was hurt when a car he was riding in rear-ended a semi on Interstate 70 west of Salina.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Mitchell Travis from St. Louis, Missouri, was driving a Chrysler 200, headed west. He came up at a high rate of speed behind a semi in the right hand driving lane. The Chrysler ran into the bumper of the semi's trailer.
Travis was not hurt, but a passenger in the car was. 17-year-old Deja Williams from St. Louis was transported to the hospital in Salina.
No one in the semi was hurt.
