A Saline County family is swindled out of $1,800 after trying to sell their daughter's drums online.
According to Lt. Brent Melander with the Saline County Sheriff's Office, a family in northwest Saline County listed a set of Ludwig drums for sale on a website for $400.
On August 15, a potential buyer began texting the 14-year-old girl regarding the drums.
Trust was built after days of texting between the two, until the parents agreed on August 26 to deposit an $1,800 check from the buyer and send back the balance to them via Western Union.
