Grants are helping to bring more fresh food to the table for low income families in Salina.
Beginning Tuesday August 30th, individuals who buy food with a Kansas Vision card can double their fresh fruit and vegetable purchase at the Farmers Market on Grand Avenue.
"Through the generosity of The Greater Salina Community Foundation we have secured a grant to start that double up food bucks tomorrow at 9th and Grand," said Phyll Klima with Salina Farmers Market.
"Anybody that comes in tomorrow with their Vision Card will get double-up food bucks, up to $25 in value to spend at the market."
