A Central Salina street that borders Kansas Wesleyan University will close permanently, beginning Monday.
According to the City of Salina, on Monday, August 1st, KWU's contractor will permanently close to traffic 4th Street, between Claflin Avenue and Cloud Street.
Prior to KWU's recent improvements, this stretch of 4th Street carried two way traffic on two roads separated by railroad tracks. In April 2015, KWU contractors temporarily closed the northbound road and diverted northbound traffic to share the southbound road.
