Authorities have finished collecting evidence at a rural Saline County murder scene and released the home back to the victim's family.
Investigators believe 57-year-old Lori J. Heimer was killed inside her rural Assaria home sometime during the afternoon of June 25th.
Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that deputies and members of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation's Crime Scene Response Team wrapped up the collection phase of the investigation as the agency continues to stitch together clues to find the killer.
