A high speed chase late Tuesday morning ended in an injury accident in rural Dickinson County. The chase, involving a stolen white Toyota passenger car, started just east of Abilene on Interstate 70. It ended with a single-vehicle crash 4 miles east of Solomon.
Kansas Highway Patrol Lt. Bruce Hyman told KSAL News at the scene that the chase started when a trooper tried to perform a routine traffic stop. Instead of stopping, the car fled, headed west at a high rate of speed. As the chase entered a construction zone, the car forced another vehicle off the road.
