Firefighters rescued one person from a house fire in west Salina Saturday afternoon.
First responders were called at around 2:15 to the report of a house on fire at 2003 Harold. There were flames visible when the first crews arrived.
Acting Battalion Chief Kirk Stover from the Salina Fire Department told KSAL News at the scene that firefighters rescued one person from inside the attached garage of the home. The victim was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center.
Stover says that the fire was contained to mainly the garage area, but there was damage throughout the entire house.
