Abilene is set to host hundreds of runners this Saturday at the Eisenhower Marathon and 5-Star Festival.
"We've added quite a bit of festivities around the marathon," said Michael Player, Executive Director of the Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Player joined in on the KSAL Morning New Tuesday with a look at a number of activities scheduled on April 9th.
Player says in addition to the racing, families will gather to watch a sky filled with kites on the Heritage Center Lawn.
"About 10am we've got a kite festival that's going to go off."
