A couple of fires over the weekend in rural Saline County damaged property and equipment.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's office, a fire Friday afternoon at 5099 W Slope damaged a shed. A push mower and snow blower inside the shed were also damaged. David Schoenig had burned weeds around a pond on the property, when the fire rekindled and spread to a shed. Total damage is estimated at $1900.
